What to expect when you apply
Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are only able to contact candidates that have been selected for interview. However, once you have registered your CV with us it is added to our database, which we search every time we start recruiting for a role.
What to expect from the Recruitment Process
Once you have applied, the recruitment process varies depending on the role. Candidates are assessed using a variety of methods and may include any of the following:
- Aptitude Testing – to assess your skills within a particular area
- Technical Testing
- Interview
- Additional Exercises
Aptitude Testing
Aptitude tests measure your ability to acquire further knowledge or skills in a specific area. These tests can be paper or PC based and will assess some of the following areas:
- Verbal Reasoning/Comprehension
- Numeracy
- Clerical checking/Attention to detail
- Diagramming/Logic
Technical Testing
Technical assessment to measure skills within specific functions such as IT, Development and Quality Assurance arena.
Interviews
Telephone
We may also conduct first interviews by telephone for applicants who would have a long distance to travel to IFDS Percana.
Face to face
Our interviews are competency based and look at the key skills and competencies you will need to do the job. You will normally meet at least one line manager plus a member of the HR team.
Additional Exercises
For some roles we may use exercises such as role-play or presentations. These will be relevant to the role you have applied for and you will always have time to prepare.
What happens when the process is over?
The length of the recruitment process varies depending on the role but we will keep in touch with you throughout the process so that you are fully informed of how your application is progressing. If your application is unsuccessful you will be advised accordingly and we are happy to give constructive feedback to all unsuccessful applicants on request.
